Children’s Costume and Halloween Parade
What good are great costumes if you don’t have anywhere to show them off? The Children’s Costume and Halloween Parade is the perfect place to scare up your creativity and show the folks of Venice how great your kid looks in his or her disguise. Head to Centennial Park on Friday, October 30th at 4:00 pm to join in on this fun.
Children’s Halloween Bash
Spooky masks and notable superheros are just a few of the characters you’ll spot at the Children’s Halloween Bash on Sunday, October 25th. Cover your kiddo in his or her costume, and head over to load up on loot, prizes, and pony rides! This event is hosted by the Italian American Club of Venice, and will be happening from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
A Halloween Party
Also hosted by the American Club of Venice, A Halloween Party is an event that’s intended to let the adults have a little fun, too. Located at 1375 Ringling Drive, this party is going down on Saturday, October 24th. The bewitching hour begins at 6:00 pm, soon to be followed by an assortment of edibles. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening, offering Halloween “libootions,” and live music, dance, and prizes will fill the evening. Don’t forget to put on your best disguise because this is one of those Halloween events where costumes are required. The association is asking guests for a donation of $24.00 per person. Member price is $20.00 per person.
Communities surrounding Venice are filled with haunted options this month. Sarasota’s Halloween events are seemingly limitless. Looking for a way to give back and have fun at the same time? Head to J.D. Hamel Park on October 31st to check out the Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest where all proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Sarasota County.
Sarasota County Fairgrounds is where you will find over 12,000 square feet of fear at Frightmares Haunted Houses.
